The next day, consider a yoga class. After breakfast, take one of our canoes or kayaks and explore California’s longest undeveloped estuary now part of the State’s newest park. The river’s solitude is punctuated by cries of osprey, the rustle of deer moving through the forest canyon, and ducks taking flight. Watch for the harbor seal who usually follows paddlers.
After canoeing or kayaking, relax in the hot tub followed by a massage at Massage in the Forest.
Once you have recovered from so much relaxation, take some time to walk along the bluffs over Mendocino Bay. Return to the inn to enjoy the company of other guests at Afternoons at the Inn. Come for an early dinner then return to your room just to be with one another.
The next day, after A gourmet breakfast at Mornings at the Stanford Inn, visit Mendocino, explore the village’s many galleries and visit the Mendocino Art Center. While at the Center, check out the class schedule and arrange a class for a future visit.
Later borrow a mountain bike and ride along one of the logging roads now incorporated in the new Big River State Park.
